Gig Race – Boat Watercolor Painting

25.0040.00

Two gigs racing on the high seas. In bygone times the first gig to arrive at an inbound sailing vessel succeeded in placing its pilot on board and being paid. Hence the need for fast boats. The need for speed continues to this day as gigs are now used for racing.

Description

Painted by Nigel Reed in 2014.

The paper used is drawing cartridge – which is like 300gsm watercolour paper, printed by fine art printers. Prints are also available signed by the artist.
